Facebook is a company that offer social networking services.  the company website “facebook.com” is one of the most used websites in the whole world. People use it for so many things like chatting, sharing of posts, advertising and many more. Currently, Facebook has over 4 billion monthly users.

To use Facebook, you need to have an account on Facebook. This article will put you through on how you can sign up very easy.

How to sign up on Facebook

  • Visit facebook home page
  • Fill in the form under “create a new account”.  You should enter your full name, email address or phone number, chosen password, birth date and gender in the form
  • Click on sign up and set up your Facebook account
  • Verify your phone number or email address
  •  You should be taken to your account home page
  • If  you want to add more info, click on your name at the top of the page
  • In your account info page
  • Click on “edit profile”. Here you can add more details about yourself. This will help people find you easily.

 

How to add friends  on Facebook

You will need to have friends to see other people posts or chat with anyone. If you want to add anyone;

  • Type the name on the person you want to add in the search bar at the top left of the desktop window or the top of the mobile app
  • From the search result, identify the person and click on the add friend icon next to the name of the person. A friend request will be sent to the person.
  • When the person accepts the friend requests, he will be listed among your friends.
  • When you are sent a friend requests, you will get a notification through the bell icon at the top of the window or in the add friends icon at the top of the mobile app. You can choose to “accept”  or” delete” a friend request.

  •  Visit Apple’s AppStore or Google play store on your mobile phone
  • Search for Facebook or Facebook lite
  • tap on “install”.

 

Desktop (window 8/10 and macOS)

  • Open Apple’s AppStore or Microsoft store
  • Search for Facebook app or messenger
  • Click on “download”
